Put Your Business On The Map With Google My Business

Social media is a key marketing tool for your business. You probably have a Facebook page, a Twitter account, and an Instagram handle. But do you have a Google My Business listing?

With a verified Google My Business account, detailed information about your business will appear across all of Google’s platforms, including search and Google Maps, giving your business a big SEO boost.

If you don’t have a Google My Business Account, follow these easy steps to get your business listed.

Step 1:
Visit google.com/business. Click the Get on Google button. On the next screen, search for your business by name.

Step 2:
If your business appears in the drop down menu, select it. If your business does not appear, click the magnifying glass to search. If your business still does not appear, select “None of these match.”

Step 3:
If your business appeared on the list of businesses, skip to step four.

If your business did not appear on the list of businesses: Fill out the form that appears. This information will all be publicly visible anywhere your Google My Business listing appears (search, Google Maps, etc.), so be sure to make sure the information is accurate. Click continue.

Step 4:
Verify that you’re authorized to manage the business by checking the box and clicking continue.

Step 5:
After clicking continue, Google will create a Google My Business account for you. Once your account is created, you will need to verify the listing by confirming your phone number or receiving a postcard from Google.

Once you’ve verified your account, you are able to update and edit your business listing. With your new account, your business will have a detailed profile appear in Google search results and on Google maps, among other perks.
